<P>I am still working out the details and options for generating the first mission at this point, so the campaign engine is only working as random mission generator at this point. Albeit a very capable mission generator.
I didn't include any user documentation, so here is a quick overview of what to do with Storm.
1) Click the New button and select my sample campaign "Battle for Kerch".
2) Click the Next button to generate the mission. You will see the busy cursor as it generates the mission.
3) You may be prompted if you would like to overwrite the current saved campaign. Click yes, otherwise a new "save game" file will be created each time.
4) Exit Storm:Lock On and run Lock On.
5) You will find the generated mission in the Lock On mission folder under a folder named Storm. It places two missions here, one for the Blue team and one for the Red team. You may chose to play from either side.
Now before you start generating your own missions, I suggest you start modifying the sample campaign.
Take a look at the Cache folder where you installed Storm (StormLockOn/Cache).
The Cache folder is where the zip compressed campaign gets loaded and run. You can directly edit files in the cache folder, but be aware that these files will be deleted if you load a different campaign. So you can modify and tweak your campaign in the cache folder and copy it to a permanent location from time to time (don't forget to backup).
Be aware that Storm only uses the campaign name as a cache reference. So when I redistribute a new version of "Battle for Kerch", you need to delete the cache version. You have to do this manually. Open your StormLockOn/Cache folder, select all the contents of this folder and delete it. I considered automating this but this method should keep you from accidently deleting your work.
Now you will have to study the "Campaign Design Guide" found on the Documents page of thes web site. It describes how the system works to generate campaign missions.
