A COUPLE from Yorkshire who were engaged to be married were killed in this week's horrific speedboat accident in Thailand, it emerged last night.</DIV>
<DIV>Mary Andrea Cerpa, 30, and Nicholas Cole, 34, from Sheffield, were among 15 people known to have died when the boat capsized returning from a party on an island on Tuesday.
The Foreign Office said yesterday that three Britons were now confirmed dead and a fourth is missing presumed dead.
Miss Cerpa, known as Andrea, worked at Norwich Union Healthcare in Sheffield and was previously employed by the ELR estate agency in Sheffield city centre. She lived in the Dore area of the city.
A spokeswoman for Norwich Union said last night: "This is a tragic accident and our thoughts are with her family.
"She will be sadly missed and the company will do all it can to offer support at this difficult time."
It is understood that the couple were going to Thailand as part of their engagement celebrations.
Mr Cole, originally from Bath, is thought to have worked in computing.
The 30ft fibreglass boat was designed to carry about 30 people but was thought to have been taking up to 50 people back to Samui island from the full moon party on Pha-Ngan at about 5am local time on Tuesday.
The boat's skipper, Samran Rungruen went missing immediately after the incident but later surrendered to police and blamed a mechanical problem.
The others killed in the accident include three Thais, an Israeli and an American.
The missing are thought to include a Briton, a Swiss, a German, five Thais, two Americans, two Australians and three others.</DIV>
