<P><a href="http://www.aviapedia.com/news/su-27-will-fly-through-the-cave-20060307" target="_blank" ><IMG src="http://www.aviapedia.com/files/news/Su-27.jpg"></A>As “China Daily” reports, on 17–19 of March 2006 in China will take a part unqiue Su-27 and Su-30 fighters performance demonstration. Heavy supersonic aircrafts will fly through the Tianmen cave.</P>
<P>Tianmen cave is the highest natural mountain-penetrating karst cave hanging on the cliff of Mt. Tianmen in Zhangjiajie, central China’s Hunan Province.</P>
<P><IMG src="http://www.aviapedia.com/files/news/288x384cave2.jpg">In fact, it’s giant arch in the rock, stratched from the north to the south. Maximum height of the cave is 131 meter, maximum width is 57 meter, it’s deep is 60 meters. In the most tight place cave’s width is only 28 meters. Su-27 wingspan is 14.5 meters. Totally 10 fighters should fly through the cave.</P>
<P>“We were preparing for the last 2 years for this event” - said Ye Wenzhi, show administrator. He is expecting to earn $6.4 billions from it. It’s been expected it will be sold about 20 thousands of tickets, $840 for each.</P>
<P>This event is a part of “Year of Russia” in China in 2006. And it is Russian Knights aerobatic team pilots who supposed to perform this unique flight.</P>

<P>I don’t believe it.<BR>I am the infrastructure manager and I did not authorize this. I prefer that the phighter plain e should ping the mountain instand with it’s radar jammer spammer </P>

<P>Ok, situation clarified. It will be Su-26 - light sport plane, don’t mix up because of Su-25 and Su-27 <IMG src="http://www.aviapedia.com/wp-images/smilies/icon_smile.gif"><BR>And it will be Svetlana Kapanina, multiple World Aerobatic Champion at the controls.</P>
<P>Still, Russian Knights will be too and will perform their own aerobatic show. No caves for them <IMG src="http://www.aviapedia.com/wp-images/smilies/icon_smile.gif"> </P>

<P>:) I’m afraid all the China wanted “Russian Knights” in that cave <IMG src="http://www.aviapedia.com/wp-images/smilies/icon_smile.gif"><BR>But from the beginning it looked too much science-fiction.<BR>And I think $840 per ticket still too much for that kind of show…. there will be many disappointed people. </P>
