The A-10C uses a variety of navigation methods to direct you to mission location. Depending on the mission or stage in the mission, you may use different navigation sources. While we have reviewed many of the navigation systems in the cockpit control chapter, this Navigation chapter will review the practical application of these system.

Navigation Mode Select Panel [NMSP]
导航模式选择面板[NMSP]
The primary means of selecting source of navigation is the NMSP. From here you can determine what navigation is displayed on the HUD or feeds data to your flight instruments like the ADI and HSI. When a selection is active, the green triangle on the button will light.
导航模式选择面板意为选择导航数据的来源。从中,你可以决定哪些信息可以呈现于HUD上或哪些数据可以提供给你的飞行仪表工具如ADI和HIS.当你的选项被激活,如上图会有三角形的绿灯以作显示。
l HARS (Heading Attitude Reference System). This and the EGI button can not be active at the same time. Pressing one will deactivate the other.
HARS(航向姿势参照系统)。如上图所示,HARS和EGI系统不能同时激活,二者只可同时选择其中之一。
l EGI(Embedded GPS INS). This and the HRAS button can not be active at the same time. Pressing one will deactivate the other.

l Both of these systems provide data to the HUD, ADI and HSI.
以上两个系统都会为HUD, ADI 和HIS提供数据。
l TISL(Target Identification Set Laser). When the Pave Penny pod has detected laser energy at the inputted code, raw azimuth and elevation data is displayed on the ADI to orient you to the laser-designated target. Additionally, the TISL will have priority over the FM light on the NMSP.
TISL目标鉴别激光。在输入代码后Pave Penny pod侦测到激光能量时,原始方位角和海拔信息将会显示于ADI上,指导你去接近激光指定的目标。另外,TISL会优先于FM显示在NMSP上。
l TCN(TACAN). From the TACAN control panel, you may select the desired TACAN station to navigate to. Once entered and the station is within operative rage, heading and rage information is displayed on the HSI and ADI.
从TACAN控制面板上,你可以选择想要的TACAN站点作为导航目标。当进入所选站点的有效距离,相关的航向和距离会显示于HSI 和ADI上。
l ILS(Instrumented Landing system). From the ILS control panel, you may select the desired ILS station to navigate to. Once entered and the station within operative range, heading and range information is display on the HSI and ADI.
ILS(仪表着陆系统),从ILS控制面板上,你可以选择想要的ILS站点作为导航目标。当进入所选站点的有效距离,相关的航向和距离会显示于HSI 和ADI上。
l Note: TISL, TCN and ILS are all mutually exclusive. Only one of these three can be operation at one time because all three use the CDI on the HIS.
备注:TISL, TCN and ILS 都是互相排斥的,同一时间只可三者选其一,以为三者都显示于HIS上。
l STR PT(Steer Point). The STR PT function makes the CDI on the HSI operate in relation to steerpoint. When you then set a course to the steerpoint, the CDI will center. This can be a useful function when landing at night in combat at an airfield without an ILS glide slope. In such a situation, you can make the end of the runway the steerpoint and then set the EGI up for “3-D NAV” so you can also use both the CDI and the steering bars to give heading and a “GPS” type glide path to touchdown.
STR PT(航点),它的功能在于把涉及的航点的CDI标识于HIS上。当你设置了到达航点的线路是,CDI会为中央。这个方法会非常有用尤其在夜间降落而没有ILS 滑翔轨迹指导时。在这种情况下,你可以把航点设于跑道尽头,然后你启用EGI的“3-D NAV”,以便你能用CDI和航点功能来掌握方向和用滑翔轨迹协助降落。
l ANCHR(Anchor Point, aka Bullseye). When active, the Anchor point display will appear in the top right corner of the HUD. The Anchor point is set on the CDU.

l UHF Homing Light. Indication of UHF ADF navigation.
